Durga Parameshwari Trust was founded by an ardent Goddess worshipper Shivashri. Somanatha Shivacharyar (Swamiji) in February 2002 to guide and uplift society through spiritual services and the revival of dharmic practices. The Trust has actively supported humanitarian efforts across the city. A notable milestone was in March 2014 when a free medical camp was organized, earning immense appreciation from locals and media alike.
With the blessings of Goddess Bagalamukhi, the Trust continues to engage in social welfare activities. A spiritual school (Gurukulam/Patashala) under the Trust has produced many qualified scholars who now serve temples around the world. Swamiji's divine deeksha to children has empowered many to perform sacred rituals and pujas with authenticity and grace.
The cow, revered as "Gomatha", symbolizes prosperity, selflessness, and sanctity. Worshipped as Kamadhenu, she nurtures not only her calf but all of creation, earning the title of Jagan Matha (Mother of the Universe). It is our sacred duty to protect her.
Every part of the cow is spiritually and practically valuable — from milk and ghee to urine and dung, all are used in rituals and daily life. Panchagavya, a mix of five cow products, is considered supremely purifying. Sadly, when she is no longer productive, many cows are sold to slaughter. The Trust stands strongly against this cruelty.
The blessings of "Go Samrakshana" are said to benefit up to seven generations. In a land that reveres the mother form in all things — be it the country, language, Vedas, or rivers — protecting the Cow is not just moral, it is spiritual. The Trust urges all kind-hearted souls to join hands in protecting Gomatha and earn her divine blessings.
We invite all donors to come forward in supporting cow welfare and contribute to this sacred cause.
